This recording really captures the corny comedy and musical talent of the minstrel genre. The lead singer for the opening chorus is probably Harry MacDonough. I did a side-by-side comparison with other recordings of him in the archive, and at once point I thought I had played the same song twice in a row. The singer for "Fly, Fly, Fly" is identified as Mr. Collins, probably Arthur Collins.

Simply FABULOUS recording of the Edison Minstrels. Who are they? I have no idea, but from what I've heard, I would LOVE to hear more. They sing a song, "Log Cabin In The Dell", tell 2 baaaaaad jokes, then sing another song to finish off the recording. All of this in under 3 minutes! This sounds like it's been cleaned up quite a bit. Just great!
